Employee Assistance Program
What is an Employee Assistance Program?
Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counselling service for employees and their eligible family members, paid for by your employer at no cost to you. This service is provided by an independent, professional organisation. All counsellors are qualified, experienced professionals who have extensive training and experience in counselling, coaching and workplace consulting.
EAP is provided to assist with a broad range of personal or work related issues including:
- Work/life balance
- Anxiety, stress and depression
- Work crisis and trauma
- Bereavement, grief and loss
- Alcohol and addictions
- Bullying and Harassment
All EAP consultations are strictly confidential. DTC does not share information about you with anyone unless authorised to do so by you in writing, or if required under Australia Law.
In the case of a workplace issues, you may authorise your counsellor to discuss the matter with your manager, or another person you nominate to help address the situation.
To assist you with your career development, OTCP provides all new employees with a Career Development Portfolio and an opportunity to participate in their Learning Pathways. The Learning Pathways is a series of training modules (a mix of online and face-to-face) which give you the skills and opportunity to perform at your best.
OTCP also have a 12 month Training Calendar with sessions across the region to make it easier for all our employees to have access to training.
Many of our employees have completed Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma programs with the support of OTCP and we continue to offer traineeship programs to eligible employees.
OTCP have partnerships with regional industry bodies and Registered Training Organisations which enables us to offer external short courses to support our internal training calendar.
